Short message: This is going to be long so hold on tight!
During the holidays, on Monday 25th September. My Nana told me that white Sunday is going to be on 8/10/23. She then told me, my older sister and younger brother to get ready to practice my tauloto. When we got dropped of by our papa, we arrived. Everyone was there. All the kids including my siblings and I walked in a single row, we then began to say our taulotos, sadly me and my younger brother (Kevin) didn’t say ours because we forgot, but thankfully our older sister (Sapphire) said hers, when we got home and told our Nana the good and bad news. She was not happy with me and Kevin, but was proud of Sapphire, she was happy for her. The next day on Tuesday, it was all the same. But after practicing all hour, I finally remembered my tauloto by heart. When we went back to church, my heart was racing. We then went into a single row once again, and when it was my turn to say my tauloto, I froze, when Saloma (The teacher) was about to say my tauloto that I was supposed to say, my mouth opened and I said it out loud :(O le atalii o le Tagata, o le ali’i, lea o le Sapati). My teacher was proud, so was my papa and sapphire. As days went by of practicing, it was finally white Sunday, me, Sapphire, Kevin, and my Nana and papa got ready, me and Sapphire literally had to wear mascara and lipstick regardless of our age. Once we arrived, everyone was in their white clothing, we went first and I said my tauloto out loud, my sister did as well, sadly our brother didn’t. Secondly, the big children or kids around 14 yr old and 17 yr old went next, they did a short play of how Jesus healed a blind man. Then the adults did a short play, I didn’t know what kind of play. After all the performances, everyone that was a part of the performance get all together and sang a short song with some small actions. Once we got home, I was relieved that I nailed it and did good, my siblings were also calm that it was all over now.
